Dr. Chitrang (Chad) Patel

Dr. Abhigna Akurathi completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa, where a dental-focused senior design project sparked her passion for pursuing a hands-on career in dentistry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Born and raised in Iowa, Dr. Akurathi moved to Boston to experience life in a vibrant metropolitan setting and to be closer to family. She is passionate about how dentistry can truly change lives-relieving pain, restoring function, and helping patients smile with confidence. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys hiking, taking dance classes, and discovering new foods and restaurants.
